Cooperation with secondary and primary schools
The Faculty of Environmental Technology (FET) actively promotes science and technical disciplines among young students through a variety of educational outreach initiatives.
Students Returning to Their High Schools to Inspire Future Applicants
FTOP students are enthusiastic ambassadors of UCT Prague, often returning to their former high schools to share firsthand experiences with current students. During these visits, they present not only the university itself but also their degree programs, opportunities for study abroad, industry collaborations, and research projects students can join during their studies.
These meetings aim to help high schoolers navigate their future academic paths, introduce them to potential career opportunities after graduation from UCT Prague, and motivate them to pursue studies in chemistry, environmental technologies, and other natural sciences. Would you like us to visit your school? Get in touch at Pavla.Smejkalova@vscht.cz.
Research Projects for High School Students (SOČ) at FET
We actively support talented high school students through the Student Research and Professional Activity (SOČ) program. Participants work on their own research projects in our laboratories under the guidance of experienced experts. Through this hands-on approach, students gain practical lab skills, explore modern scientific methods, and build valuable experience that can support their future studies and careers. They also present their work at SOČ competitions, gaining recognition and new development opportunities. Interested? Reach out to us at hana.kujalova@vscht.cz!
Additional Activities Organized by UCT Prague
The university also hosts a variety of events to inspire young minds, including the Open Day, Chemistry Olympiad, Summer School, and specialized programs such as STEP and the Hour of Modern Chemistry—all aimed at motivating the next generation to pursue studies in environmental and technical fields.
