Study at the Faculty of Environmental Technology (FET)

At FET, students engage with both natural and technical sciences, ensuring they are well-equipped for careers in scientific and industrial fields. The shared foundation across all bachelor's degree programs provides a broad understanding of chemistry and technology, which is further deepened through specialized coursework. In master’s programs, students refine their expertise based on their interests and specific industry needs. Emphasis is placed on theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience—gained either in our state-of-the-art laboratories or directly in industry settings.

Career Opportunities for Graduates

FET graduates find roles across a wide range of industries, including the chemical and petrochemical sectors. Many pursue meaningful work in environmental protection, while others thrive in analytical laboratories, inspection and regulatory bodies, public administration, or research institutions. Our alumni are also active in project planning, consultancy, and technical or managerial roles, especially in environmental technologies.

Among our distinguished graduates are Milan Smrž, vice-president of the European association EUROSOLAR and a prolific author and patent holder, advocating for renewable energy solutions; and Miroslav Kos, co-developer of advanced wastewater treatment technologies across the Czech Republic, including the New Prague Water Line, completed in 2019.
